    The Sauvignon Blanc is bright with aromas of white fruits, cut grass and citrus. The palate is dry and zesty with hints of lemon and green apples. Very refreshing.

    “Les Rocailles” rosé is a light and elegant pink very much in the Provençal style. Made mainly from Grenache, the wine has a lovely pale pink colour and a clean, fresh nose with lifted fruit aromas. On the palate it is dry with soft fruit and elegant, balancing acidity.

    Founded in 1995, Calmel & Joseph is a négociant house specializing in Languedoc-Roussillon wines from private wineries from across the region. Over the years, they have built close personal relationships with a large number of growers from all appellations. Convinced of the extraordinary potential of this region, oenologist, Laurent Calmel, and Jerome Joseph work together on the vinification, blending and ageing of wines with the common purpose of demonstrating the little known, yet unique quality of these Mediterranean terroirs.

     

    100% Grenache, (Gris & Noir).

     

    The grapes are picked at night in two passes. The first harvest is done at a relatively early stage in maturity, to keep freshness in the wine. Then 15 days later a second harvest is done, to get good concentration and varietal aromas.

     

    Grapes are destemmed and then macerated at 5°C for 6 hours. Fermentation is temperature-controlled at 17 ° C. No malolactic fermentation takes place.

     

    A very pale pink colour, bright and elegant. Discreet on the nose, with subtle aromas of roses. The palate is dry and refreshing with notes of red fruit and citrus. The finish is long with fine fruit and good balancing acidity.

    This 130-hectare vineyard is located at the foot of the Gascogne Pyrenees and  specialises in white varietals. Warm weather during the day and cool nights give ideal conditions to produce fresh, characterful Sauvignon Blanc.

     

    Very pale in appearance, the wine has a lovely fresh and zesty nose with white fruit and citrus aromas. The palate is dry and searching with plenty of fruit and mouthwatering acidity.

    With its attractive pale straw colour, Villa Blanche Chardonnay has a very expressive nose of white peach and dried fruits.  Full and round in the mouth, it is well-balanced with floral notes combining with  apricot flavours. The finish is spicy, with the lightest touch of wood.

     

    The grapes are picked at night, in two stages. The first harvest is done at a relatively early stage in maturity, to keep freshness in the wine. Then 15 days later a second harvest is done, to get good concentration and varietal aromas.  Fermentation is temperature-controlled  at 15°C (no malolactic fermentation). A third of the wine is aged for three months in old oak.

    60 % Chardonnay, 30 % Chenin Blanc, & 10% Pinot Noir from vines planted to the west of Limoux at 200-300 metres altitude.

     

    The grapes are hand-harvested and transported to the winery in small crates, where they are pressed and processed in temperature-controlled tanks at 15°C. The wine is then carefully blended and bottled before undergoing the secondary fermentation of the méthode traditionelle after which it is left for 15 months to age before disgorgement.

     

    Pale straw in appearance the wine has a lovely mousse with fine, tightly-packed bubbles. Fresh green apple and citrus aromas leads to a palate which is soft and rounded with peachy flavours and refreshing acidity.

    Domaine Piétri-Géraud was created at the end of the 19th century. Today it is still owned by the family and run by two women, Maguy Piétri-Géraud and her daughter Laetitia who are the fourth and fifth generations of the family winemakers.

     

    They cultivate 20 hectares, including 16.5 hectares on the steep slopes of the communes of Collioure and Banyuls at the eastern end of the Pyrenees.

     

    All vineyard activities are carried out by hand and yields are low, the average being 22hl/ha. The winery is in the heart of the village of Collioure amongst terraced houses and shops.

     

    The Collioure Blanc is a blend of 80% Grenache Gris, 15% Vermentino and 5% Marsanne. The grapes are pressed direct to temperature controlled vats for fermentation followed by 12 months ageing in new oak barrels.

     

    Pale gold in appearance, the nose is complex with grapefruit, mango and peach notes. The palate is dry and intense with a lovely mineral backbone supporting layered fruit flavours. The finish is very long. A great seafood wine.
