This high quality sparkling wine is made in the traditional method and has undergone a minimum of 12 months lees ageing in the bottle prior to disgorgement.

  • “Cuvée Léonie” Brut N.V., Canard-Duchêne, Magnum, 12% vol, 150cl

    “Cuvée Léonie” Brut N.V., Canard-Duchêne, Magnum, 12% vol, 150cl

    CH30

Named after Léonie Duchêne, one of the founders of the company, “Cuvée Léonie” is reserved for independent wine merchants and the world’s finest restaurants – we have listed it for several years and it has been our House Champagne since 2011.

The blend is 50% Pinot Noir, 25% Pinot Meunier and 25% Chardonnay with reserve wine accounting for a significant proportion of the total (25%). Extended ageing in the cellar (3 years) adds depth and complexity.

“All the elements are there: the buttery brioche aromas with top floral notes, the depth of flavours and the finish. It’s the way that it’s all presented that sets it apart. ‘There’s a driving blast of fine mousse, a powerfully zesty mid-palate, and it all develops into a long dry finish”

  • Thiénot Brut N.V., “Speedy Grahpito” Limited Edition Magnum, 12.5% vol, 150cl

Thiénot Brut N.V., “Speedy Grahpito” Limited Edition Magnum, 12.5% vol, 150cl

    CH03

“Founded in 1985, Champagne Thiénot is the new kid on the champagne block and something of a trade secret. I came across the Brut NV the other day and was immediately smitten. A blend of 45% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier, it is light, delicate and fresh with hints of apple and quince – the perfect apéritif.”
Jonathan Ray, The Field, April, 2011.

Champagne Thiénot have teamed up with Oliver Rizzo, the internationally renowned street artist who works under the name ‘Speedy Graphito’, to design a striking, limited edition magnum of Thiénot Brut. This is the second edition of this limited production, special bottling.

This somewhat unusual partnership came about when Oliver met Garance Thiénot who, with her brother Stanislas, runs Maison Thiénot. Garance was brought up in a strong artistic tradition and has developed an intense interest in street art. She had been following the work of Speedy Graphito for several years and noted that there were parallels between the development of his work and that of Champagne Thiénot. The urban art movement took root in France in the 1980s and was growing just as Champagne Thiénot, created in 1985, began its expansion.
