Located in St Sauveur in the Haut-Médoc, just to the west of Pauillac, Liversan covers 30 hectares of vines on fine gravel and limestone. The vineyards are planted with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot with an average age of 30 years.
Vinification is in temperature controlled stainless steel vats followed by ageing, mainly in 225 litre French oak barriques, for 12 – 14 months – 25% new wood, 25% one year wood, 25% second year wood and 25% in steel.
The wines are well structured with firm and supple tannins. Rich, red fruit flavours with notes of oak and spice blend harmoniously.
