The Haverlan family bought the property in 1988 and the wines made here are delicious. Very sound reds, fleshy with plenty of solid black fruit, mature tannins and creamy oak.
The cépage is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot from 16 hectares of vineyards on classic Graves gravel soils. The harvest is carried out by hand followed by a careful selection of the fruit before a temperature controlled fermentation and lengthy maceration period.
The wine is ages for 18 months in oak, 40% of which is new. 2009 was a superb vintage.
